Week 3 Blog Post (Posted by 5 pm Prior to 1/29/25 Class Starting):
Who are you, why are you taking this class, and what do you hope to gain?
My name is Cy Khodadad, and I am a senior at the Lindner College of Business, majoring in Entrepreneurship and Real Estate. I decided to take this class because I am genuinely interested in learning how to run a company and what it truly takes to build, manage, and sustain a successful business. As someone who plans to own and operate businesses in the future, I believe understanding how companies function on a day-to-day basis is essential. I am especially interested in how strategic decisions are made, how leaders respond to challenges, and how those decisions affect long-term growth and stability.
Through this course, I hope to gain practical knowledge that goes beyond theory and can be applied to real-world situations. I want to better understand how to scale a company, manage operations efficiently, and make informed decisions that support both short-term performance and long-term success. Learning how successful entrepreneurs think, plan, and adapt will be extremely valuable as I continue developing my own ventures.
My long-term goal is to own and operate successful businesses, particularly within the real estate and entrepreneurial space. I see this class as an opportunity to strengthen my foundation, improve my business mindset, and gain insights that will help me avoid common mistakes while maximizing opportunities. By the end of the course, I hope to feel more confident in my ability to analyze business situations, develop effective strategies, and apply what I’ve learned directly to my future career as an entrepreneur.
