a. What do you hope to accomplish professionally in the next 10 years, 20 years, and 30 years?
My Short-Term Career Goals (5-10 years): Once I graduate from the University of Cincinnati’s Lindner College of Business, I would like to work in the real estate industry, gaining experience in areas such as real estate investment, development, or property management. This will allow me to learn about the operational and financial aspects of real estate. I would like to pair this with beginning my own investment portfolio by purchasing smaller residential properties. These properties would likely be duplexes or small multifamily rentals. My goal during this stage of my career is to learn and grow my network while building a portfolio of income-producing properties.
Mid-Term Career Goals (10-20 years): During this stage of my career, I hope to continue expanding my investment portfolio and operate my own successful real estate company. I would like to build a diverse portfolio full of multiple rental homes and possibly some larger multifamily complexes. Aside from just making money, I would like my company to help provide quality housing units and help better the community that my investments are located in. By this stage in my career, I hope to begin mentoring up-and-coming entrepreneurs.
Long-Term Career Goals (20+ years): After 20+ years in the real estate industry, I hope to have a well-established real estate business. I want my investments to be generating passive income and helping me build wealth. Ideally, my investments would run through systems and off of an established team. This would allow me to pursue some larger development projects as well as focus more time on philanthropy and helping future entrepreneurs get their feet off the ground. Through building my real estate company, I hope to create a lasting legacy.
